INTERACT CONFERENCE !

I just came back from the 41st Interact Conference, Rotary International District 3300 in INTI College, Nilai two days ago. It was pretty awesome; the activities, the lectures (some of ‘em), and the boys. Hihi. But I guess the most amazing thing I gained is the uncountable amount of friends I made. Right from people in Shah Alam themselves, the same district and also outside of Selangor. Although I can’t remember ALL their names, but still, the experience from knowing them is priceless.

I want to tell everything that happened but since I don’t think anyone wants to read through a LONG blog entry, I tried to make everything brief but full of infos.

THE PROS:

Ø I made a lot of friends, mostly nice, quirky and ridiculous.
Ø The enjoyable lectures:
(i)
Datuk Paduka Sharifah Mazlina came and speaks on her experience on being the first Asian woman and Muslim to cross both North and South Pole. She showed a video clip on a time capsule she planted at the North Pole containing a letter from our Past PM, a letter form her and a mysterious red box. I seriously think everyone is thinking of getting the box one day.
(ii)
This couple, Miss Stani Martinkova and Mr. Richard Fergè biked around the world to experience the environment from tons of countries. I even took a pic with them and the guy Mr. Richard hugged me in the photo. It was unexpected, OKAY, so don’t go making your own opinions.
(iii)
Lawyer + Rtrn. Gerard Lazarus made us laugh hard with his words and points on crime happenings in school. The only downside is when he showed us the famous ’20 sebatan’ vid. I think Alya looked as if she was experiencing it and Bie and Zi had already covered their faces.
(iv)
Rtrn. Joel Wong talked about Facebook. Seriously. He’s a freaking webmaster.
(v)
Rtrn. Adrian Minjoot’s was pretty OK, and I think he’s the most sporting Rotarian of all. He even took a pic with us on our last night. He’s cool but thinking he’s Aaron Minjoot’s dad, it’s a tad bit weird though.
(vi)
PP Rtrn. Siva Ananthan’s slideshow and his quirky style of jumping onto a chair to speak to us, that was damn stylish man.
Ø
There’s this group of guys from Sekolah Seri Bestari and two of them is DAMN HOT which we call ‘Petronas boys’. Adam, a Malay with curly hair and Steven, a Chinese who looks like a Korean.
Ø
There was three exchange students; Tibo from France, LUCA MARCO VALENTINI from Germany and Toto from Taiwan. MG, Luca swept me off my feet! His smile and accent, aaahhhhh… I think I got his attention a couple of times but that’s just nothing to him I think. Sob sob…
Ø
There’s another guy who I think is pretty charming and cute. And he’s got a cute ass which I feel like grabbing all the time. I won’t tell you who because he could be reading my blog. I have this thing with cheeky smiles and cute asses and MY GOD, he owns BOTH.
Ø
On the last night, I, Alya and Bie ‘picnicked’ outside of our room with another 5 girls eating McD and we talked about almost everything and became immediate friends.
Ø
Zi made friends with these Penang dudes and they taught us words in Hokkien and Cantonese, but haha, don’t ever think they are nice words… We call ourselves the ‘Password Group’.
Ø
The girls I met and became friends with from SMK Methodist, Klang are very nice and I sat with them a lot. There was also Uma from Ipoh, Perak, and Joey, I think, from Kuantan, man, he’s absolutely nuts but nice and it takes huge patience to sit next to him. I don’t sit with the SSAAS-ians all the time.

THE CONS:

Ø
I, Bie and Alya had to argue and fight to get a room for ourselves. Can you believe this bullshit? All schools from Shah Alam has at least a room instead of us. And when we took one of their rooms, they talked in their own language right at our door making me feel like saying “Can you take your stupid language and fucking body away from our room?”. Like ‘someone’ said, they are like ‘hostel bitches’. I’m SO SORRY, I’m not being and am not a racist but you know how I get when someone pisses me off.
Ø
My shoes pried loose when I walked to the MPH (Multi-Purpose Hall) and I had to wear Zi’s shoes to take a group photo. I went to take mine and since I was effin’ late I used my ‘charm’ to convince this group of girls to send me to the MPH on their way out.
Ø
My group’s performance was cut off by the emcees. GTH man!
Ø
Fahmi sort of embarrassed us. He knows that I’ve a crush on Luca and he approached Luca like “Hi, can we take a pic with you?” and suddenly talked in Malay. For God’s sake he’s freaking German! He went to the Petronas guys and told them about Alya’s crush. He stalked one of my friends everywhere. He went up to this group of girls talking crap and the girls sorta give no bull about him. He shouted like a girl to this amazing guy who can beatbox and wanted to approach him like a girl approaching her crush. There’s more but I think it’ll take hours to tell. I know I sound very rude and straightforward but hello, it’s the truth OK? My God…
Ø
Bie and I got locked outside of our room half-naked. It’s funny though because we can’t stop laughing and I almost ran out of the hostel without any pants put on to talk to the guard! We had to wait for almost ½ hour for a spare key!
Ø
We were stuck at the counter when we returned our key and had to explain everything about the reshuffled rooms and Alya who went back earlier. And they forgot to redo Bie’s and Alya’s certs and we had to wait like almost ½ hour for the Rtrn. SK Subtra something (who wore a tight turquoise singlet and very short shorts and walked in front of my hostel couple of times the past night, mind you, the sight is OG!) to sign the certs.
Ø
It was damn hot there during the day.
Ø The girls from SMK Alam Megah were a bit arrogant and didn’t talk to anyone else from Shah Alam and stared at us everytime they met us somewhere like there’s something on our faces or something. They were nice in the end though, but they could’ve been a bit friendly earlier. They got mad at their friend Max for hanging out with us. THAT is what I call ‘fick loo’. Yup. It’s a German word for ... Look for yourself.

Anyway, the conference is one of the most memorable events I will never forget. I wish I could go again next year. I will make sure a couple of someones from the future BODs can’t go so I and my friends can go. Hehe. I totally apologise if I was bloody rude, especially about ‘hostel bitch’ stuff, Fahmi and the SMKAM girls, but hey, they did say blogs are like public electronic diaries. I just did what I would exactly write in a diary (not that I own one, it’s SO girlish)…
